I discovered running reluctantly. I needed a way to become more active and find a workout that fit my schedule. I struggled to run consistently until I found a training group to help me train for my first Broad Street Run and from there I was hooked. I loved the accountability and camaraderie of running together.

Running has been an adventure ever since, I’ve been fortunate to cover distances from 5ks to a marathon. It’s taken me unexpected places – running on the side of the road in the middle of the night, chased by bees on a trail, running in pouring rain and ankle deep mud. Running is weird and when you share these adventures with others, it all seems normal.

When I’m not running, I’m usually over-caffeinated and quoting random movies, reading, cooking, or hanging out with my family and friends.

I’m excited for Women Run Montco to foster a deeper connection between running and community for women in the region.
